Come and say hi to me at my table at the free screening of award-winning film Grown in Detroit on Thursday 27 September.
This event hosted by the Canberra Environment Centre and the ANU Environment Collective and is the Australian premiere screening of this multi-award winning film. Grown in Detroit focuses on the urban gardening efforts managed by a public school of 300, mainly African-American, pregnant and parenting teenagers. The film will be followed by displays, discussions and drinks with a range of community groups and people -- including ME -- interested in environmental sustainability and food security. Doors open at 7.00pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm. Attendance is free, with drinks by donation. Please RSVP by Tuesday 25 September here.
